Design Council

Design Council leads the ExploreStation programme, working with all partners to gather feedback on the station design, to inform and advise the next stage of development. Design Council is the national strategic advisor on design. The organisation works with people to create better places, better products and better processes, all of which lead to better performance.

The Glass-House Community Led Design

The Glass-House Community Led Design is partnering with Design Council to deliver ExploreStation’s virtual and in-person workshops and exhibitions. The Glass-House Community Led Design is a national charity dedicated to connecting people with the design of their places – and connecting design with people. They bring expertise in engagement, facilitation and collaboration, and will be using the workshop and exhibition spaces to prompt in-depth conversations with a diverse and broad range of people to inform the future development of ExploreStation.

Network Rail

Network Rail owns, operates and develops Britain’s railway infrastructure, including 20,000 miles of track, 30,000 bridges, tunnels and viaducts and thousands of signals, level crossings and stations. Network Rail manage 20 of Great Britain’s largest stations while all the others, over 2,500, are currently managed by the country’s train operating companies. Network Rail is the commissioner of ExploreStation and the new station design.
